The Human Rights Foundation (HRF) recently published a powerful guide, "Bitcoin for Nonprofits," outlining how Bitcoin serves as a crucial tool for movements fighting for freedom. * Censorship & Fees: High remittance fees on money sent from loved ones abroad, and the friction of mobile money systems, act as a form of financial censorship. Every percentage point skimmed off the top is value that doesn't make it to a family in need.

Our Solution: A Plan ₿ for the Family

When people hear we’re a nonprofit that uses Bitcoin, they often misunderstand. They think we’re a charity handing out a speculative asset. We’re not. Bitcoin Babies is an education program that teaches financial sovereignty. We provide mothers with a tool—Plan ₿—to build a firewall against the failures of the old system.

Our approach is grounded in reality, not just theory. We’ve built a circular economy in local communities. Here’s how it works: we provide mothers with a small weekly stipend in Bitcoin (sent over the Lightning Network). They can then spend these satoshis at local merchants—the corner store, the grocer, the pharmacy—who also accept Bitcoin.

Instead of value constantly leaking out through inflation and fees, it circulates within the community, strengthening local businesses and empowering families simultaneously.
